NHSAA Professional Development Program for 2020-21
The NHSAA Professional Development Committee has worked hard to develop a varied agenda that builds on our traditionally strong program themes while adding new and unique professional development opportunities.
Best Practices Conference on Social Emotional Learning Conference, September 22-24, 2020 : Our calendar year beings in September with our Best Practices in SEL Conference, moved from its original Spring 2020 date due to the COVID-19 shutdown.
Bradley F. Kidder Law Conference, October 7-8, 2020: This year we are again co-sponsoring the Bradley F. Kidder Law Conference at the beginning of October in cooperation with the New Hampshire School Boards Association and the New Hampshire Council of School Attorneys.
Best Practices Conference on School Operations, Finance & Business Leadership, October 27-29, 2020: Our third program of the year is the popular Best Practices Conference on School Operations, Finance & Business Leadership, moved to late October from its September 2019 date.
Excellence through Equity Conference, November 18-19, 2020: Back by popular demand is the 2nd Annual Excellence through Equity Conference, expanding to include concurrent sessions in addition to keynote speeches.
34th Annual Christa McAuliffe Technology Conference, January 11-15, 2021: *This event was moved from its early December dates due to COVID-19 - In cooperation with the New Hampshire Society for Technology in Education, Technology and in collaboration with the New Hampshire Chief Technology Officers Council and the NH School Library Media Association, the 34th annual CMTC conference will be held via various online platforms including Zoom and Remo.
Legislative Review - Part 1, February 1, 2021 (half-day): The first half of a review of the new legislative issues being presented in the 2021 session.
Best Practices in Personnel Leadership, March 8, 2021: An important annual program delving into personnel management issues as well as new developments in state laws and regulations.
Legislative Review - Part 2, March 22, 2021 (half-day):The conclusion of a review of the new legislative issues being presented in the 2021 session as well as planning and strategy discussions.
Innovations in Learning Conference, April 7-8, 2021: Typically held in fall, but shifted to accommodate the response to the pandemic, the 2021 Innovations in Learning program will focus on ways to infuse new and innovative strategies into the classroom.
